13.The ACEs report provides a lot of information regarding how a child’s negative experiences impact their lives as adults. Provide a summary of ACE’s and it’s long-term impacts. What do the findings of the report mean to you? How can you use this information in your work with young children and their families?

There are a variety of definitions of what is considered to be culture, which ranges from extremely intricate to simple. For example, (Kroeber & Parsons, 2017) gave a wide-ranging definition of culture as shared and shared produced contents and rhythms of values and convictions, as well as other symbolic systems that impact the way we behave. According to (White 2019) is “an extra somatic continuous temporal relationship between objects and events that are influenced by the use of symbols,” which is an extremely vague definition. The development of identity among children is greatly enhanced by their exposure to a variety of cultures. Physical, social, emotional and linguistic development is influenced by distinct cultural influences that children are exposed at birth, for example, customs and beliefs regarding food, creativity languages, religion, and language. Learning difficulties can be caused by a child’s perception of self is in conflict with the social context because of different cultures. Teachers who are culturally proficient can be a blessing to students of all backgrounds as they show appreciation of the ways that the students’ cultural backgrounds can enhance their learning. Cont…
