Methamphetamine (MAMa) because her brother Jim became hooked on meth at age 22
and committed suicide at 24 years of age. By starting this organization, Dr.
Holley hoped to catch the attention of people who are addicted to crystal meth.

Mothers against Methamphetamine (MAMa). MAMa is based on two key principles:

individual willpower and group support, for example, are expressed in the motto
of Women for Sobriety (2011): We are capable and competent, caring and
compassionate, always willing to help another; bonded together in overcoming
addictions. MAMa, AA, and NA represent one approach to dealing with a social
problem at the individual level; RR, SOS, and WFS represent another. Consider
